Job role : Atlassian Jira Engineer

Duration : 6 month contract

Location : Remote

Job Description:

• They are implementing 3rd party platform for workflow management, automation, Agentic AI
• They have a lot of Jira tech debt and their Jira Data Center needs major work. Tough sell from service support perspective.
• Evaluated dozen AI platforms, favoring Moveworks
• 3-4 functions that really need overhaul
• Need this resource ASAP to help scope, build out and execute

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• This person will not be directing any work, this person will be doing the work.
• First 2 weeks a lot of scoping
• Working together to whiteboard, identify stack ranking, identify stakeholders, help formulate project plan
• Will be primary technical DRI for project
• Work on execution of each of those individual pieces
• Check-ins throughout project phase with executables
• Jira DC + Moveworks
• They are not building out this platform for SW development, candidate needs to understand they are building this out from a service management perspective. Build out for service team, contact management, customer service mindset for how they handle tickets
• Wants it very seamless, very clean
• They will not be doing sprint boards

Must-haves:

• Enterprise experience: 5,000-10,000 EE company
• Jira Data Center
• API and non-API integrations
• PowerShell scripting
• Groovy, JavaScript, Python
• Experience with Jira Servicedesk, Jira Software, Confluence
• Experience building custom solutions, integrations, and automation with Jira Software
• Experience with various Atlassian Product features like Advanced Roadmaps, Structures, sheets
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve user issues, and work autonomously to solve problems
• Excellent comm skills
