Pay: up to $35/hr based upon experience

Location: Pottsville, PA.

Duration: 11 months- new construction of a commercial facility- ground up

A Commercial Plumber installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings such as offices, hospitals, schools, warehouses, retail centers, and multi-story facilities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, and compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair commercial plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems
• Work with piping materials such as copper, cast iron, carbon steel, PVC, CPVC, and PEX
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Install and service fixtures, pumps, valves, water heaters, boilers, and backflow prevention devices
• Perform pressure testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure system integrity
• Ensure all work meets local, state, and national plumbing codes
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and other trades
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job-site cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial plumbing
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and codes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Skilled in pipe threading, soldering, brazing, grooved piping, and mechanical fittings
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined or elevated spaces

Education & Certifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Work Environment

• Active commercial construction sites and occupied facilities
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions
• May require overtime, night shifts, or emergency service calls
