JOB TITLE: Data Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Duties include: Support Life Sciences operations, product builds, data delivery and platform maintenance activities; Manage AWS Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; Design, build and test RedShift/EMR code and underlying AWS infrastructure to support ETL (extract-transform-load) processing in our CI/CD pipeline; Monitor performance and take corrective action to improve results and reconcile discrepancies between the expectations of the business and the structure of the data; Collaborate with analytics' and other teams to determine how current processing methods can be optimized, scaled, and improved; Provide informed feedback for database design and data model decisions; Support monthly/weekly data warehouse build process; Provide code review; and Document technical design, test plans and other elements. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Engineer-related occupation. Position
Requires One (1) Year Of Experience In The Following - AWS cloud operations;
- Writing SQL;
- Spark (Python and/or Scala);
- Software development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, and Agile development;
- Managing Terraform code to build and modify AWS Cloud infrastructure;
- AWS S3 (Bucket policies, Life Cycle policies);
- IAM, Redshift, EMR, Lambda functions, Step functions, EC2, EBS Volumes, and Networking; and
- Healthcare of life science experience.
RATE OF PAY: $97,032- $139,678 / per year
