Job Description

Connections to Success (CtS) is seeking a full-time Job Developer to join our dynamic team. The Job Developer establishes and maintains activities to develop, identify and secure employment opportunities for qualified participants. They also work as part of the program team to identify needs, deliver outcomes and facilitate successful job placement and retention. The Job Developer serves as primary contact for employers and balances commitment to employers with commitment to program participants’ success

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Research local market and industry trends to identify career opportunities
  • Initiates and cultivates relationships with employers, building strong partnerships for employment
  • Communicates the benefits of the program and the job development service
  • Tracks and collects pertinent data for grants and reporting
  • Completes all required reports and summaries on time and submits to Program Director
  • Understands employer needs and makes appropriate participant matches
  • Screens participants for employment placement
  • Works with the program team to deliver outcomes and ensure retention
  • Coordinates employment related functions including mock interviews, hiring events, tours, etc.
  • Facilitates approved experiential, workforce development, healthy relationships and entrepreneurial curriculum with creativity and enthusiasm for groups of 5-15
  • Oversee and facilitate monthly meetings for Professional Women’s and Men’s Groups
  • Hosts weekly Career Connect for participants
  • Engage, participate, and contribute to assigned activities that further the goals of CtS
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participant information

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business, or related field, or equivalent
  • experience in lieu of degree
  • At least three years' experience in business or partnership development
  • Knowledge of labor market trends, and major private and public employers in the area
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuasively present program and participants to employers
  • Experience in skill-based training programs a plus
  • Knowledge of local workforce systems and WIOA
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance for entry into Missouri Department of Corrections facilities
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to provide participant
  • transportation when necessary
  • Experience working with high-risk populations to include those reentering the workforce from incarceration and low-income populations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via verbal and written forms for communication
  • Ability to use office equipment including, but not limited to computer, telephone, voicemail, photocopier

Relationships:

  • Reports to: Project Coordinator
  • Supervises: Interns (as needed), volunteers (as needed)
  • Internal Relationships: All Staff, Volunteers, Mentors, Participants
  • External Relationships: Potential Participants, Potential Volunteers, Prospective Employers, Guest Speakers, Partner Organizations, Referring Agencies, Community Organizations, Government Agencies, Educational Institutions, Companies

Additional Information:

This position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Employees will be eligible for full benefits including health, retirement, and vacation benefits on the first of the month following hire date. We invite potential candidates with incarceration/ criminal justice system history to apply.

Starting Salary Range:

$40,000-$45,000.00 annually
