Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat Quarkus to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications for enterprise clients. In this role, you will leverage your advanced knowledge of Quarkus to architect scalable microservices and optimize Java applications for containerized environments. You will also play a key role in guiding clients through complex application migration projects, transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms using best practices in Java development and cloud-native design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise Java, hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, and a passion for delivering high-performance solutions. I see RH JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and Java as other skillsets specifically called out, in addition to Quarkus main skillset needed. This person will be focused on the app migration portion. Red Hat will support the customer's Change Management Framework Modernization of JBoss from EAP 6.4 by rearchitecting the existing PAIRS application from JBoss EAP 6.4/Java 8 to Quarkus/latest version of Java, targeting a non-cloud, non-container environment (bare metal, non-containerized), and enabling the application to be more scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to future modernization efforts, including microservices and containerized applications, by utilizing modern development practices and architectures.
